Edward Espe Brown

Edward Espe Brown is an American Zen teacher and author.

Edward Brown practiced Zen since 1965, was a student of Shunryu Suzuki and was ordained by this 1971 Soto Zen priest. In 1996 he received Dharma transmission from Mel Weitsman.

In addition to Zen, he teaches yoga and Chi Gong, including at the San Francisco Zen Center, in the house of silence in Tendered ( district Puregg ) and the Buddhist Centre Scheibbs.

Brown was known for the documentary film How to Cook Your Life from 2007 by Doris Dorrie to a wider audience in Germany.
