Edward F. Moore

Edward F. Moore ( born November 23, 1925 in Baltimore, Maryland, † June 14, 2003 in Madison, Wisconsin) was one of the founders of the theory of automata and inventor of the eponymous Moore machine.

From 1966 to 1985 he was professor of mathematics and computer science at the University of Wisconsin.
