Edwinstowe

Edwinstowe is a village in Sherwood Forest, north of the English county of Nottinghamshire. Its name in German means as much as " Edwin's resting place ." This is due to the fact that the body of the Anglo-Saxon king and Holy Edwin was hidden in the village church after he fell at the Battle of Hatfield Chase near Doncaster on 12 October 633.
