Egyptian referendum, 1956

The referendum in Egypt in 1956 was held on 23 June 1956. The final vote for the election of Gamal Abdel Nasser as president and a new Egyptian constitution. Both were accepted, 99.9 % voted for Nasser and 99.8 % for the new constitution.
