EHC Team Wien

The Team EHC Vienna was an Austrian ice hockey team from Vienna, which was founded in 2007 and played in the Austrian National League.

The team emerged from a collaboration between the teams Vienna Capitals, Wiener EV and three other junior clubs. Due to the partial amalgamation of the junior teams from age category U17 outcome will be a more targeted promotion of young talent.

In the 2008 /09 season the team Vienna did not participate in the National League. They tried to go against a stricter farm team regulation by ( together with the second team of the EC Red Bull Salzburg) the deposit for participation in the National League was not deposited. The Salzburg articulated but a just before the entry deadline and deposited the bail. The Viennese had thus officially missed the entry deadline and could not participate in the league thus.
