EirÃkur Hauksson
Eiríkur Hauksson ( born July 4 1959 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic singer.
He represented Iceland in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki with the song Lost Valentine ( Isl Ég les í Lofa þínum ). With 13th place but he did not make it past the semi-finals. However, he has what the Euro Vision Song Contest is concerned, a more far-reaching past. In the first part of Iceland 1986 he represented his country with the group ICY entitled Gledibankinn. In 1991, he was for Norway with the group Just 4 Fun and the title Mrs. Thompson at the start. Since 1986 he is the lead singer of the Norwegian power metal band Artch.
Before his music career began, he worked as a teacher.
