El Palmar de Troya

Palmar de Troya is a Spanish village in the province of Seville, located about 30 km south of Seville. It has about 2800 inhabitants and is the second largest town in the municipality of Utrera.

The population grew from 1936 to 1965 from about 200 to 2000, there was laid out near the Reservoir Torre del Aguilar. The population lives mainly on agriculture, many people wander in the harvest season in other regions, for example the strawberry harvest in the province of Huelva.

Palmar de Troya is the seat of Palmarian Catholic Church of the late 2005 Clemente Domínguez y Gómez anti-pope or his successor Manuel Corral. The Cathedral of the anti-pope is protected by a wall, which prevents accurate inspection.
