El Pont de Suert

El Pont de suert is a Catalan municipality in the province of Lleida, in northeastern Spain. It is the capital of the comarca of Alta Ribagorça.

Geographical location

El Pont de suert is located on the Noguera Ribagorçana, a tributary of the Segre. After the incorporation of the places Llesp, Malpas and Viu de Llevata the district covers an area of nearly 150 km ².

Worth seeing

El Pont de suert owns the historic center around the Plaça Major. The old church is of Romanesque origin, but was greatly changed in the 18th century. The new church is the work of architect Rodríguez Mijares and was built in 1955. It has a nave.
