Elbe-Saale

In the administration of Community Elbe- Saale in Salzlandkreis (Saxony- Anhalt) eleven municipalities were merged to form the settlement of administrative transactions.

Covering an area of ​​152.62 km ² live 9,904 inhabitants ( 31 December 2006). The administration was based at Marktplatz 14 in 39249 Barby, the last head of the administrative community was Dietrich Heyer.

The management community was formed on 1 January 2005 from the communities of the disbanded governing communities Elbe- Saale- angle and EL -SA -TA -L. On 1 January 2010, the administrative community was dissolved. From the communities was up to Gnadau ( also managed by Barby ) the city Barby newly formed.
