Electrocute (band)

Electrocute is a music project that was launched in 2002 by a US-American and an Austrian mother in Berlin. The music of Electrocute is Electroclash with strong rock elements.

Career

In Berlin, founded Nicole Morier from Albuquerque along with her companion Mia Dime, after these had returned from a stay in Los Angeles, in 2002, the band Electrocute. The musical style is inspired by the thriving Electropop Berlin, but this mixed with rock elements.

When the record company "Emperor Norton Records ' first EP and the first album appeared. Then left the band and was Mia Dime for the next tour, which went through three continents and among other things, to the Big Day Out 2005, replaced by Holly Doll from Johnson City (Tennessee). In Australia Morier came in contact with Legs Le Brock that went from then on as a permanent member of Electrocute.

A high number Electrocute concert was able to work out a decent name recognition in the last four years. During live performances, the duo is always supported by three other musicians. In addition, the band a song to the soundtrack of the films The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie ( "Bikini Bottom", 2004) and 21 ( "Mad Pursuit", 2008) also contributed respectively.

2008 was another EP, On The Beat, published with the cooperation of the Dutch musician Junkie XL.

On 11 June 2009 another album called " Double Diamond " was released.
