Electron donor

Under an electron donor (electron donor ) or electron donor is understood in physics and chemistry is a particle ( atom, molecule or ion) that is capable of donating electrons. Equating the term Lewis base is deprecated and should no longer be used. In redox reactions, respectively an electron and an electron reacts with the acceptor receives the electrons from the donor. The process is referred to as oxidation, the substance itself as a reducing agent.
