Elena Grölz

Elena Grölz ( born July 26, 1960 in Bacau / Romania Elena Leonte ) is a former German handball player of Romanian origin.

Her career began Elena Grölz in their hometown Romanian Bacau. She then moved to HCM Constanta. With the team, she was repeatedly Romanian champion and cup winner. For Romania, she completed 136 internationals. In the B World Cup 1985 in Germany, she sat down by her team from, remained in Germany and played from then on for the TV Lützellinden. With the team, she was several times German champion and DHB Cup winner. In 1990 she moved to local rivals TV Mainzlar, where they also finished her career in 1995.

In the season 2004/2005 Elena Grölz worked as co- trainer at TV Mainzlar. After one season as coach of the team.

Elena Grölz is a professional qualified sports teacher. She is married and has two children.
