Eleonore Charlotte of Württemberg-Montbéliard

Eleonore Charlotte of Württemberg- Montbéliard ( born November 20, 1656 in Horburg, † April 13, 1743 in Breslau) was by marriage Duchess of Württemberg- oil.

Life

Eleonore Charlotte was a daughter of Duke Georg II of Württemberg- Montbéliard (1626-1699) from his marriage to Anne (1624-1680), daughter of Gaspard III. de Coligny.

On May 7, 1672, she married in Oels Duke Sylvius Friedrich of Württemberg- oil. The marriage remained childless.

Eleonore Charlotte acquired in 1676 the government and city Festenberg and moved their residence there. The city Festenberg built the Duchess from its own resources from extensive; let it build the church in 1688 and supported the newly located colonizing population. When Emperor procured for the inhabitants a decree for one hundred years tax exemption.

Due to a legal dispute with Anna Sophia (1647-1726), the widowed Duchess of Württemberg- Juliusburg she lost in 1712 Festenberg to this.
