ElÃas Querejeta
Elías Querejeta Garate ( born October 27, 1934 in Hernani, Guipúzcoa, Spain Republic, † June 9, 2013 in Madrid) was a Spanish footballer, film producer and screenwriter.
Career
Querejeta produced over 50 films, including some of Spain's most famous films of the 1960s and 1970s. He worked with, among others, the directors Carlos Saura, Victor Erice, Montxo Armendáriz and Fernando León de Aranoa.
In his youth, the Basque football player was in the first division club Real Sociedad, but this career ended at age 24. His daughter Gracia Querejeta (* 1962) is a film director.
