Elie Yossef

Elie Yossef, Eli Joseph (Hebrew אֵלִי יוֹסֵף; * 1956 in London) is an Israeli Zionist activist.

He grew up in London, where he attended the Hasmonean High School. In 1973 he founded the English Betar ( Zionist Jugensorganisation ). In 1975 he emigrated to Israel and served in the Golani and Paratroopers Brigade of the Israel Defense Forces. After military service, he studied at Machon Meir and at the Hebrew University in Israel Jerusalem.1988 he founded the Children and Youth Aliyah for French immigrants.

He sat down together with Natan Sharansky and Yosef Mendelevitch one of the imprisoned as a spy in the U.S. Jonathan Pollard.

He called to break off diplomatic relations with Russia because of its support of Iran's nuclear weapons program. He opposed it actively against the Camp David Accords with Egypt and Israel withdrew from the Sinai Peninsula. Yossef refers to himself of himself as' humanitarian Zionist ".

Yossef now works as an independent real estate agent.
