Elisabeth Pähtz

Elisabeth Pähtz ( born January 8, 1985 in Erfurt ) is a German chess player. In 2002, she became Junior World Champion, 2005 Junior World Champion.

Youth

She has been trained since childhood by her father Thomas Pähtz, himself chess grandmaster. At five years old she participated in a German women's championship for the first time. At the age of nine she won her first German championship in the U11 age group.
