Ellen Wong

Ellen Wong ( born 1985 in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian actress.

Life and career

Ellen Wong was born in 1985 in Ontario. Her family was originally from Cambodia. While still a student at L' Amoreaux Collegiate Institute, she performed in an amateur theater group and works with smaller television productions. After completing school, she began studying Radio and Television Arts at Ryerson University. While still studying, she took first minor roles in several television series.

A wider audience, it was 2010 in the comic book adaptation Scott Pilgrim known to the rest of the world in the role of Knives Chau. During casting director Edgar Wright found out that Wong has a green belt in the martial art of Taekwondo, which eventually was decisive for the occupation.

In 2011, Wong appeared in the television series Combat Hospital, which deals with the work in a military hospital of the ISAF in Kandahar, Afghanistan. From April to May 2012, she rotates with Jaime King, Malcolm McDowell, Donal Logue, Jamie Kennedy and Brendan Fehr the remake Silent Night, which is on the slasher movie Silent Night - based horror night.
