Ellert en Brammert (museum)

The museum Ellert en Brammert is an open air museum in Schoonoord (municipality Coevorden ), Drenthe, Netherlands province. The name derives from the museum are the giant Ellert and Brammert. The origin of the museum dates back to the centenary of the place Schoonoord a few years after the centenary of the Orange channel. To celebrate this anniversary, some sod huts, reconstructed simple huts with a layer of heath sods as roofing. Over the years these have been expanded by further converted into the museum building to a medium sized open-air museum. The museum also has a reconstructed megalithic grave and a museum of employees impromptu hut of the two eponymous giant.
