Elo Viiding

Elo Viiding ( born March 20, 1974 in Tallinn) is an Estonian poet.

Life

Elo Viiding was the daughter of the poet and actor Juhan Viiding and music educator Riina Viiding. Elo Viidings paternal grandfather was the writer Paul Viiding, mother of actor and politician Kaljo Kiisk.

After attending the special school music from 1981 to 1989, Elo Viiding studied until 1992 at the renowned Georg Ots Music School in Tallinn the violin. This was followed by acting studies (1994 to 1999) at the Estonian Humanitarinstitut.

Elo Viiding operates in addition to their literary career as a translator for English and Finnish, as well as an advertising copywriter. She also teaches at the universities of Turku and Tallinn.

Authoress

Your first book of poetry Telg ( " Axis " ) wrote Viiding 1990, when she was 16 years old under the pseudonym Elo Vee. They quickly developed its own avant-garde style, which is often declamatory. One of her books she has divided into "good ", " mediocre " and " bad poetry ", but this overlooks the first section empty. More poetry anthologies and prose followed. In 1992, Elo Viiding at the Estonian Writers' Union.

Elo Viiding is with the Estonian literary scholar and critic Jaanus Adamson (born 1966 ) married.
