Elsa Pataky

Elsa Pataky ( born July 18, 1976 in Madrid as Elsa Lafuente Medianu ) is a Spanish actress, film producer and singer.

Life and career

Elsa Pataky was born in Madrid, the daughter of a Spanish pharmacist and a Romanian journalist. Already in her youth, she discovered her passion for acting, but studied journalism at the Universidad de San Pablo. During her studies she took acting lessons and played in various classical as well as modern pieces, directed by Ángel Guitiérrez. 1997 celebrated Pataky her debut in front of a camera with a role in the Spanish TV series Al Salir de Clase, they - like many other youthful cast member - let be known. She appeared in over 200 episodes of the successful series, had in the subsequent period also appeared in other shows such as Tío Willy or The Queen of Swords.

In 1999, Pataky her feature film debut with a small role in Jo Tatawo sol, followed by Álvaro Fernández Armeros film The Art Of Dying - The art of dying with Fele Martínez, Gustavo Salmerón, who became a commercially successful film in Spain. Other film and television productions followed suit, partly international co-productions.

Her first major international role played Pataky 2011 in the fifth installment of the Fast and Furious series as Elena, a policewoman from Rio. She assumes this role in Fast & Furious 6

Since December 2010, Pataky is married to fellow actor Chris Hemsworth. In May 2012, both parents of a daughter named India were. On March 21, 2014 got the pair of twins.
