Elsa (Yukon)

Elsa is an abandoned place in the Yukon Territory in northwest Canada.

It lies between Mayo and Keno Hill, about 400 km north of Whitehorse and 600 km east of the Alaska border. Elsa was always privately owned and administered by the mining companies, which once processed there, silver, lead and zinc from the mines along the Silver Trail. With the closure of the mine United Keno Hill in 1989, Elsa was abandoned and most of the buildings demolished.
