Mayo (Yukon)

Mayo is a village on the Stewart River in Yukon Territory, more precisely on the Silver Trail. It had exactly 248 people, of which 110 of the First Nation of Nacho Nyak Dun belonged in 2006. Their language belonged to the Northern Tutchone whose northernmost representatives constituting the group. History

The Nacho Nyak Dun have not only Tutchone ancestors but are related, in part, with the Gwich'in and the Dene. However, they are more strongly associated with the Northern Tutchone from Selkirk to Pelly Crossing and Little Salmon / Carmacks First Nation to Carmacks.
