Elsie Uwamahoro

Elsie Uwamahoro ( born October 23, 1988 in Mabanda, Burundi ) is a Burundian swimmer.

The large depending on the source position 1.65 meters and 1.69 meters athlete, who brought a competition weight of 56 kilos in 2012, is trained by Basogomba Cassien and belongs to the club Entente in Bujumbura. She studied Business Administration and Marketing Management at the University of Bujumbura Light.

Already at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing took part in the Burundierin. There they classified with a time of 36.86 seconds swum as Seventh forward travel in their final statement on rank 86 of the 50 - meter freestyle race. Uwamahoro was again in the six- man squad of the Burundian team for the Olympic Summer Games in 2012. In London, they started on the 50-meter freestyle distance. In her forward Uwamahoro swam with a time of 33.14 seconds 4th Place. So they missed the semi-finals and finished the competition as 67th in the overall standings. In 2013 Uwamahoro took part in Barcelona at the World Swimming Championships in 2013.
