Elyakim Rubinstein

Eliakim Rubinstein ( born 1947 in Tel Aviv) is an Israeli lawyer and diplomat. He is a 2004 member of the Supreme Court of Israel since May.

Career

Rubinstein became in 1967 the academic degree of bachelor in 1969 a Bachelor of Laws degree and in 1974 with magna cum laude, a master at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. 1969 to 1983 he was a lecturer in the degree program of Political Science at Bar-Ilan University. In addition, he was 1973-1977 as a lawyer in the legal department of the Defense Ministry of Israel, 1976-1977 Deputy Legal Secretary in the Ministry of Defence and 1977-1981 bureau chief and advisor to the Israeli foreign ministry. From 1977 to 1979 he was a member of the Israeli delegation at the negotiations that led to the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty (Camp David Accords ).
