Emil Köpplinger

Emil Köpplinger ( born December 19, 1897 in Nuremberg, † 29 July 1988) was a German football player. He played in midfield.

Köpplinger belonged to the legendary team of the 1st FC Nuremberg, which was five times in the 20s in the final of the German Cup; but mostly he was just reserve players. In 1927 he stood for the only time in the final game on the pitch, the club won 2-0 against Hertha BSC. He played from July 1909 to June 1928 at the " Club".

His only international game, he completed on 23 October 1927 Germany beat Norway 6:2 after 0:2 at halftime. Then Emil Köpplinger was not invited back to the national team.
