Emil Pagliarulo

Emil Pagliarulo is an American computer game developer.

Career

Prior to joining the games industry Pagliarulo worked as a primary school teacher. Finally, he worked as a journalist for the U.S. game magazine Adrenaline Vault before a job as a designer at Looking Glass Studios was, where he worked on Dark Project 2: The Metal Age and worked, among others, the Level Life Of The Party drafted.

Following the closure of Looking Glass and an intermediate position at Ion Storm Austin, he moved to Bethesda Softworks. For Bethesda Pagliarulo worked alongside a licensed game for the film series Pirates of the Caribbean as a writer and designer at the Elder Scrolls series. His first contributions he made for the Morrowind Bloodmoon add-on. For The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Pagliarulo was responsible for the Dark Brotherhood quest line, one of the main factions of the game.

For the post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 3 Pagliarulo was appointed lead designer and lead writer, which he was instrumental responsible for the content design of the title. The game has received numerous awards and in 2012, following a public consultation presented as an example of the artistic design of adventure games of the modern Windows era in the art exhibition The Art of Video Games at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
