Emil Schlee

Emil Schlee ( born October 21, 1922 in Schwerin, † 26 February, 2009 Schwentinental ) was a German politician (CDU, REP ) and historians.

Career

After graduation in 1940, Emil Schlee was 1940-1944 officer on the Eastern Front in World War II and was wounded several times. 1944 to 1949 he was in Soviet captivity. In 1950 he began to study cultural studies ( geography, history, German literature, politics, sports ) at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and put 1952, the physical education teachers exam from. After graduating in 1957 he became a research assistant. In 1960 he passed the state exam and then worked as a secondary school in Frankfurt and Offenbach am Main in the teaching profession. In 1963 he became teacher, Oberstudienrat.1961 1965 to 1966 he studied in addition to the education service at the University of Mainz pedagogy, history, sociology, anthropology and politics.

As displaced Sudeten Germans Schlee was involved for many years in the IDP associations. He was vice-president of the Federation of Central German. In the country team Mecklenburg Schlee served as second deputy national chairman ( 1972-1978 ), Chairman of the National Association of Schleswig -Holstein ( 1978-1981 ) and National Chairman and Speaker ( 1981-1986 ). From 1986 until his death Schlee was an honorary member of the country team Mecklenburg.

Policy

1967 Emil Schlee joined the CDU. He was from 1969 Chairman of the National Sports Advisory Council of the CDU Hesse, Deputy National Chairman of the CDU Federal Committee on Sport and Deputy District Officer of the district south of Hesse CDU.

1969 and 1971 he was chairman of the municipal council of Ober-Roden and 1972 to 1974 he was a member of the municipal council of Heubach (Odenwald ).

From 1 December 1970 to October 1, 1974, he sat for the CDU in Hesse state parliament. 1979 to 1985 he was Ministerial and State Commissioner for Displaced Persons and Refugees. In 1984 he resigned from the CDU and joined the group of citizens patriots Germany for the American Lyndon LaRouche. Together with Helga Zepp -LaRouche, he founded the electoral alliance Patriots for Germany (see Civil Rights Movement Solidarity). In 1987, he joined the Republicans and was chairman of the National Association of Schleswig -Holstein. He was elected for the REP to the European Parliament in 1989 and was a member of the Technical Group of the European Right. In 1992 he left the REP, but remained 1994 Member of the European Parliament by the end of the legislative period.

Schlee wrote on 1 April 1992 to the then PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research Germar Rudolf, who was commissioned as part of a court dispute with the creation of an advisory opinion by the defense of Major General Otto Ernst Remer and the famous Rudolf Report (cf.. Awards

In May 1983 Schlee was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross 1st class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
