Emine Ayna

Emine Ayna ( born July 1, 1968 in Dicle, Diyarbakır Province ) is a Turkish politician zazaischstämmige. Ayna is a Member of Barış ve Demokrasi Partisi (BDP ) in the Turkish Parliament.

Personal

After high school she was a co-founder and later chairman of the Women's Association Gökkuşağı Kadın Derneği. She took as an independent candidate for the province of Mardin part in the parliamentary elections in 2007 and moved with 15.57 % of votes in parliament. Until the ban on the Demokratik Partisi Toplum on December 11, 2009, she was the Deputy Secretary General. Emine Ayna is currently a member of the BDP Group in the Turkish parliament. She lived in Adana before the election.

Emine Ayna is the cousin of Ömer Ayna, who was a member of the Turkish People's Liberation Party-Front, together with Mahir Cayan and was killed in a shootout in 1972 in the village Kizildere Province Tokat. Although she is a Kurd, Emine Ayna does not speak Kurdish.

Emine Ayna heard with others such as Nurettin Demirtas to the hardliners within the DTP. So Emine Ayna described the first attack by the PKK from 15 August 1984 to Eruh and Semdinli at a lecture in Lice as a victory celebration of the 15th August.

On 2 December 2008, she said at a campaign event in the DTP Varto that any candidate who will not stand for election to the DTP, was not a Kurd.

After the banning of the DTP on 11 December 2009 at Ayna joined the Barış ve Demokrasi Partisi. For the parliamentary elections in June 2011, she stood on as an independent candidate for Diyarbakir and was re-elected.

Position on the PKK

Emine Ayna, co -chair of the DTP, said in an interview about the PKK, their party do not deny the PKK and do not see it as a terrorist organization. In another interview she explains this attitude as follows:

"If they ( Turkey, the EU and the USA) to equate terrorism with military struggle for rights, they would have also northern Iraq Kurdish parties, who fought against Saddam, must be called terrorists. "

Police and legal prosecution

The 11th High Criminal Court in Ankara decided to end September 2009, the police subpoenas from Emine Ayna and Selahattin Demirtas on 29 December 2009 to a prosecutor's interrogation. Emine Ayna has already announced testify nothing.
