Emirate of Beihan

The emirate Beihan or Bayhan, officially the Emirate of Beihan (Arabic إمارة بيحان, DMG Imārāt Bayhan ) was an emirate in the Old South Arabia, and since 1967 has been part of the Republic of Yemen.

Geographically Beihan located in a valley that borders on al - Baidha in the northwest, at Ma'rib in the east and ʿ Ataq in the south. It is a fertile valley, which is powered by the northeastern mountains with water. Crops are dates, citrus fruits and it is stockbreeding.

The ruling Al- Habieli family was related to the Hashemites and was recognized by them as lawful ruling family. The emirate was in 1967 in the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen, and now belongs to the Republic of Yemen.
