Emmanuel Ekwueme

Emmanuel Ekwueme ( born November 22, 1979 in Aboh Mbaise, Nigeria ) is a former Nigerian football player.

Club career

Ekwueme began his professional career in 1996 with the Nigerian club NEPA Lagos, for whom he played for one season. He then moved to Jasper United FC, where he was three seasons long operate. He was obliged Polonia Warszawa 1999. With the Polish capital club, he won the 2000 Polish Cup and the League Cup in 2001 then even the Polish Cup and Polish Supercup. During his time in Poland from 1999 to 2004, he also played for Wisła Płock and Łódź Widzew. He moved to Greece at the end of 2004 Aris Salonika. Here, however, he could not assert himself and changed according to the season for the second division Veria FC. For Veria, he completed 18 league games. After the season, his contract was not renewed and he stayed for one season without a club. In 2007 he signed a contract with the Polish second division Unia Janikowo, but did not because of differences with the board for use and moved to league rivals Warta Poznań. From late 2008 to 2010, he played for the Polish second division club Znicz Pruszków. For the season 2010/11 he took leave from professional football and joined the 4th Polish League to LZS Piotrówka. After the first round of the 2013/14 season Emmanuel Ekwueme ended his football career.

National

Emmanuel Ekwueme played twelve times between 2000 and 2003 in the Nigerian national football team. He took part in the Africa Cup Nigeria 2004, where Nigeria finished third.
