Emmanuel Stupanus

Emmanuel Stupanus, occasionally Emmanuel Stuppan, ( born December 13, 1587 Basel, † February 26, 1664 ) was a Swiss physician.

From 1604 Stupanus studied at the University of Geneva, among others Philosophy at Esaias Colladon and Gaspard Laurent. 1607 he returned to Basel and graduated with the title Bachelor from. He then entered the University of Basel to study medicine; only with his father, then at Caspar ileocecal and Felix Platter. Stupanus died at the age of 76 years on February 26, 1664 in Basel and found his final resting place.
