Encarnação (Lisbon Metro)

Encarnação is a metro station Linha Vermelha the Lisbon Metro, the underground network of the Portuguese capital. The station is located at Rua General Silva Freire near the intersection with Rua Tenente Capitão Oliveira e Carmo in Encarnação district of Lisbon municipality Olivais. The neighboring stations are Moscavide and Aeroporto.

Metro Station is designed Alberto Barradas, who was responsible for cost reasons and for the refinement. As usual, the station received two 105 -meter-long side platforms, disposals and the elevators are located in the center of the platform and lead to a mezzanine. From there, there is one starting in the north and in the south, the elevator to the road surface is located in the center of the mezzanine. Barradas chose for the design of course, the human eye known forms and materials. While the ceiling is covered almost completely white on the side platforms and is illuminated from below, gray stone dominates the mezzanine.

The subway station was on July 17, 2012 opening of the northern extension of the Linha Vermelha between the Oriente station and the airport Portela in operation.
