The Endress Hauser AG is an international provider of measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering. The group of companies headquartered in Reinach near Basel comprises 100 companies in 44 countries and employs more than 10,000 employees. 2012 earned the family a turnover of around 1.7 billion euros.

Products

Endress Hauser provides a wide range of sensors, instruments, systems and services for level, flow, pressure and temperature measurement as well as liquid analysis and data acquisition, connect field devices to process control systems as well as automation and logistics solutions.

2012, the company applied for 230 new patents and invested 6.7% of its total turnover in research and development. Currently, more than 5,300 rights to run on the name of the Endress Hauser Group.

Industries

Customers are primarily from the chemical and petrochemical, food, water, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, energy, materials, pulp and paper, shipbuilding. History

Endress Hauser was founded in 1953 by Georg Endress ( 1924-2008 ) and Ludwig Hauser ( 1895-1975 ); Since 1975, the company is wholly owned by the Endress family. 1995 Klaus Endress took over the management of the Group from his father George. Endress Hauser has developed over more than six decades from a specialist in level measurement to a provider of complete solutions for industrial measuring technology and automation. At the turn of 2013/14 Klaus Endress moved into the Supervisory Board of the company group and handed over the management to Matthias Altendorf.
