Enevold Kruse

Enevold Kruse (* October 28, 1554, † March 8, 1621 at Sjælland ) was a Danish nobleman and Norwegian Reichsstatthalter.

After studying abroad, including in the German Helmstedt, he was hired in 1578 in the Danish law firm and made a quick career. He was bailiff in 1582, a position which he held until 1608. In 1608 he became lord to Akershus, governor of Norway and member of the Danish Empire Council. As governor, however, was under him relatively little, only the agreement with Jens Bjelke, a Norwegian noble leader. In his last three years of life (1618-1621) he lived on Tranekjær in Denmark.
