Engelbrechtsmünster

Engelbrechtsmünster is a district of the city Geisen field in the Hallertau.

Geography

Engelbrechtsmünster situated in the east, about 2 km from the city core Geisen field. The parish village has 2012 376 inhabitants in the year.

History

A first settlement of Columban monks there were around 600 from the year 821 there was a monastery of the Benedictines. The parish church is built around the year 1400. In 1875, the pastor of Engelbrechtsmünster, Friedrich Schreiber, Archbishop of Bamberg.

The incorporation into the city Geisenfeld was on 1 April 1971. Engelbrechtsmünster to former municipality of the district of Münster was a small.

The town center was redesigned with the new village square, Maypole, stream and hard place in the context of village renewal in 2010.
