Engine Down

Engine Down was a band since 1996 from Richmond, Virginia, USA, which can be assigned to the post-hardcore.

History

The band was founded in 1996 in the vicinity of the Washington Post-Hardcore, Emo and hardcore punk bands.

The cast remained, except for the absence of guitarist and vocalist Jeremy Taylor and the subsequent entry of Keeley Davis in 1998, largely the same.

In 2005, the band finally broke up. The musicians played then in other projects further. So Keeley Davis joined the post-hardcore band Sparta, Cornbread Compton as played among other things as a drummer in Biology on.

Style

Previously leaning even more on the sound of emo and post- hardcore bands, the band began to play with the time their very own, rather quiet and increasingly influenced by emo - indie rock sounds sound.

When label Lovitt Records says the band's sound:

" Engine Down 's sound Has matured into a force not content with the now tired boundaries of hardcore or" emo. " Rather, Engine Down continue to hone Their craft, surprising listeners with unexpected instruments and song structures "
