The English Toy Terrier is one of the FCI recognized British breed (FCI Group 3, Section 4, Standard No. 13).

He is a very small dog (up to 30 cm at 3.6 kg). The Toy Terrier is by nature a "real Terrier". He has a long and varied history: As a victim of the British betting passion he had to fight in small arenas against rats, then he became a ladies dog, went out of fashion, and found as a family dog ​​again new lover. His hair is thick, short, dense and glossy in black and tan; the black ebony, the tan in about maroon. In its form of a candle flame resembling the ears are slightly pointed, well up on the back of the skull.
