Enno II, Count of East Frisia

Count Enno II of East Frisia (* 1505, † September 24, 1540 in Emden ) from the house of Cirksenas was from 1528 to his death in 1540, the ruler of the county of Ostfriesland. He ruled in much of together with his brother Johann. This, however, remained Catholic, while Lutherans Enno was and continues to strongly made ​​for the Reformation in East Frisia, but unlike his father unilaterally promoted Lutheranism.

Otherwise Enno II fell against his father Edzard which "the Great" was called, significantly. He lost the Jeverland forever for Ostfriesland by reneged on the promise of marriage of his father.
