Enno Walther Huth

Enno Walther Huth ( born October 8, 1875 in Altenburg, † May 31, 1964 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a pioneer of German aviation industry.

Huth was the son of the Prussian Major Johann Ernst (1832 - 1897) and his wife Emilie (1838 - 1921). First, he beat a traditional family in the military career. In 1905 he married Elsa Bach Stone (1878 - 1968), daughter of the railway undertaking Hermann Bachstein. As an officer, he left after 13 years of service, the military and studied from 1908 to 1912 Natural Sciences - Biology focus. He graduated as Dr. phil. from. 1909 Huth met in Berlin to the French aviation pioneer Hubert Latham. In Huth, the desire to produce aircraft in Germany was born. He founded to the Albatros Flugzeugwerke in Berlin- Johannisthal. First aircraft were built under license in the French style. Later Huth designed partly together with designers such as Ernst Heinkel or Helmuth Hirth own machines. During the First World War, the aircraft of the Albatros Flugzeugwerke found large sales and were highly appreciated for their quality and performance, just the single-seat D aircraft. Huth worked in the General Staff as an intelligence officer of the Supreme Command.
