Enoch zu Guttenberg

Enoch zu Guttenberg (full name George Enoch Robert Prosper Philipp Franz Karl Theodor Maria Johannes Heinrich Luitpold Hartmann Gundeloh Freiherr von und zu Guttenberg, born July 29, 1946 in Guttenberg ) is a German conductor.

Life

Enoch zu Guttenberg was born in 1946 as son of the future Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Chancellery Karl Theodor Freiherr von und zu Guttenberg. He was married from 1971 to 1977 with Christiane von Eltz. From this first marriage the sons of Karl -Theodor zu Guttenberg originate (see also Family of Guttenberg ) and Philipp Franz zu Guttenberg. Since 1997, Enoch zu Guttenberg is married with the choir and orchestra conductor Ljubka Biagioni. Together they have two sons (* 2003, * 2005).

Guttenberg studied composition and conducting in Munich and Salzburg. One of his teachers was Carl Feilitzsch. At the age of 21, he took over in 1967 the choir Neubeuern. 1997 Enoch was put in charge of the free and project-based orchestra sound management zu Guttenberg. Numerous CD recordings documenting this collaboration. In 2000, Enoch zu Guttenberg took over the directorship of the International Festival of Herrenchiemsee. Since May 2003 he has been honorary conductor of the Hofer Symphoniker.

Guttenberg is heavily involved in environmental protection. He was 1975 Co-founder of the Federation for Environment and Nature Conservation Germany ( BUND), from which he resigned in May 2012, because in contrast to the BUND he rejects in his opinion, landscape destroying wind turbines and not wants to support longer the suspicion of venality of the BUND.

For his work Guttenberg received several awards, including the German cultural award, the ECHO Klassik, the Federal Cross of Merit 1st class and the Bavarian Order of Merit.

He was first a member of the CSU, but resigned in 1992 after a conflict with the then Prime Minister of Bavaria Max Streibl because he refused to take part in a demonstration against anti-Semitism. Meanwhile Guttenberg has occurred at the insistence of his son Karl -Theodor back into the party.

Financial circumstances

In October 2010, the Manager magazine estimated the wealth of Enoch zu Guttenberg in his specialty, the 500 richest people in Germany to 400 million euros. Origin of the assets was next to large estates, the Rhön -Klinikum, Bad Neustadt an der Saale. In March 2002, the family of the Hospital 's founder company shares sold for 260 million euros to the Bavarian Hypo Vereinsbank.

Guttenberg has his assets and property, including transfer family castle with the inventory and forest enterprises in the district of Kulmbach, a private- Austrian private foundation based in Radmer ( Austria ). Philipp Franz zu Guttenberg, the younger son, took over the castle and the family after the division of the inheritance. The free Herrlich and from Guttenberg'sche Family Foundation was registered on 31 October 2008 in the Austrian health resort Semmering.
