Enoshima Electric Railway

The Enoshima Dentetsu (Japanese江ノ島 電鉄 線, sockets), also briefly Enoden (Japanese江ノ電) is a railway line in the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa. It connects the cities of Fujisawa and Kamakura. The line was put into operation on 25 December 1900. Operator is the same Enoshima Dentetsu KK ( .江ノ島 電鉄 株式会社, Eng. Enoshima Electric Railway Co., Ltd. ).

Data

The ten -kilometer route is single track with a track gauge of 1067 mm ( Cape gauge ). It is electrified, supply voltage of the overhead wires is 600 V DC. In five of the 15 stops trains can cross.
