Enrico Benzing

Enrico Benzing ( born June 17, 1932 in Milan ) is an Italian engineer and journalist and son of writer Mario Benzing.

Life

After studying engineering and aerodynamics, he wrote in the newspaper " La Gazzetta dello Sport" as head of the engines pages and reporter for the Formula 1 race. Since 1974 he writes for a company founded by Indro Montanelli daily newspaper "Il Giornale ". He was the technical delegate of the Italian motorcycle club with some bikers and he represented Italy from 1978 to 1980 in the Technical Commission of the FIA.

Benzing published twelve books, including monographs of several cars and scientific treatises on race engine technology and aerodynamics; a treatise on the relationship between aerodynamics and performance in Formula 1; and a new illustrated comment on the current rules of the Formula 1

As an expert in aerodynamics, he designed many wings for racing cars, including Formula 1, he developed a program to decrypt the secret performance of Formula 1 engines. Motoring journalists trust his very precise information over to the manufacturers.
