Enrico Cecchetti
Enrico Cecchetti ( born June 21, 1850 in Rome, † November 13, 1928 in Milan ) was an Italian ballet dancer, mime and ballet teacher. He is founder of the Cecchetti method, an educational guide for ballet classes.
Cecchetti was as a dancer famous for his agility and strength, his technique made him the time for the greatest ballet virtuoso in the world.
After his career as a dancer was Cecchetti ballet master and teacher, first at the Kirov Ballet ( the former Imperial Ballet ), then Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes at. Famous pupils of Cecchetti have included Anna Pavlova and Vaslav Nijinsky.
