Ensio Hyytiä

Ensio Hyytiä ( born March 24, 1938 in Rovaniemi ) is a former Finnish ski jumpers and Nordic combined.

Hyytiä was 1958 in the Finnish ski jumping squad for the 1958 Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti. At the normal hill he could reach the silver medal behind compatriot Juhani Kärkinen and before Helmut Recknagel.

At the Olympic Winter Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley, he joined as a Nordic skier in singles and reached the end of the 22th Place. The games were the only international competition, ran as combiner at the Hyytiä.

After the Olympics, he jumped from 1963 in a total of four FIS races. His best finish he achieved this on January 1, 1964 while jumping in the Four Hills Tournament 1963/64 in Partenkirchen with a 4th place. At the end of the tour he was on the 9th place in the overall standings.

At the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 in Innsbruck, Austria, he arrived on the normal hill and 20th in the large hill the 23th Place.

After his playing career, he worked Springer in his hometown club Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseuraa as trainers and technicians.
