Enterprise Rent -A- Car is a U.S. company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri and is the property of Enterprise Holdings which includes the companies Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental belong.

Enterprise operates in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Great Britain, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece and China in car rental. The company was founded in 1957 by Jack C. Taylor. Chairman today is his son Andrew C. Taylor (as of 2012), the company is privately held and owned in 2009 by the Forbes Magazine's 20 largest unlisted companies in the United States ( ranked No. 16). According to the company Enterprise is the largest car rental in North America. Enterprise employs around 74,000 people and has an annual turnover of 15.4 billion U.S. dollars (as of 2012).
