Entremont (district)

The District d' Entremont in the canton of Valais ( capital Sembrancher) consists of the following municipalities:


1798 Entremont was one of the twelve Valais districts that were affiliated with the Helvetic Republic. Between 1802 and 1810 it was one of the twelve Zehnden the Republic of Wallis. From 1810 to 1813 it belonged to the sub-prefecture of the department of Simplon Saint -Maurice from France. On the accession of the Valais to the Swiss Confederation in 1815 Entremont first made a Zehnden, 1850 then a district.
