Enver Hadžiabdić

Enver Hadžiabđić (Cyrillic Енвер Хаџиабдић; born November 6, 1945 in Belgrade ) is a Bosnian football coach and former football player.

He began his career as a football player at the club Bratstvo Travnik. In 1965 he moved to FK Željezničar Sarajevo, for which he played more than 450 games in new years. In the 1971/72 season and 1972/73 he won the Yugoslav championship with the FK Željezničar. In 1974 he went to the Belgian club Sporting Charleroi, where he played for three years.

He was eleven times in the squad of the Yugoslav national football team.

Hadžiabđić is considered one of the best defenders in Europe in the early 1970s.

After the completion of his football career in 1979, he studied in Sarajevo. He was coach of Iran's football team for the Olympic Games, 1995 coach of the youth team of Al- Rayyan Sports Club in 1993. In 1997, he became head coach at FK Željezničar, his hometown club, with whom he won the Bosnian championship. In the winter of 1999 he resigned from this post. In the following season he led the club to win the title again. After he worked as Stadium Director from 2001 to 2006, he supervised from January 2007 back to FK Željezničar as a coach.
