Enzo Moser

Enzo Moser ( born November 5, 1940 in Palu di Giovo, Trentino, † July 25, 2008 ) was an Italian cyclist.

Enzo Moser was Profi by 1962 until 1967. 1961 he won the Trofeo Alcide De Gasperi. His greatest achievement was the victory at the first edition of the Giro del Trentino 1962. 1963 he won the Giro d' Italia on the 19th stage in second place, and in 1964 he wore for two days the Maglia Rosa. After his retirement from cycling, he also worked as a sports director. In 2008, he was killed when he was run over with the farm work by a tractor. Since 2009, the award is called the Giro del Trentino for the most combative rider Premio " Enzo Moser ".

Enzo Moser came from a cycling family: He was the second oldest of four racing brothers, the most famous of his youngest brother Francesco and his eldest brother Aldo are. Also three of his nephews are cyclists, including Leonardo Moser, who now ended his career, and his brother Moreno, who drives for the team Liquigas -Cannondale since 2012.
