Ephraim Evron

Ephraim Evron (Hebrew אפרים עברון, born June 12, 1920 in Haifa, † July 17, 1995 in Ramat Gan ) was an Israeli diplomat.

Evron began in 1949 to work for the Israeli Foreign Ministry. During his diplomatic career he held various posts. Among other things, he was in 1953 Second Secretary at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC, 1961-1965 Counsellor and only then envoy to the Israeli Embassy in London, and from 1965 to 1968 envoy to the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC. During his time Evron, developed at the Israeli embassy in London a close friendship with Harold Wilson.

From 1968 to 1969 Evron served as Israeli ambassador in Sweden. After that, he was from 1969 to 1971 Israeli Ambassador to Canada. The next few years worked Evron in the Israeli Foreign Ministry before he finally was again ambassador and Israel from 1978 to 1982 represented in the United States.

Evron was married and had two children, a son and a daughter.
