Epifanie Norocel

Epifanie Norocel ( born December 14, 1932 in Malini, Circle Baia, Romania, † January 7, 2013 in Panciu, Vrancea County, Romania ) was a Romanian- Orthodox Archbishop for Buzau and Vrancea.

Life

In 1961 he obtained a degree in graduate theologians at the Theological Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. He then studied in Bucharest and Moscow.

Between 1965 and 1971 he was a professor at the ecclesiastical seminary of the monastery of Neamţ, whose abbot, he was from 1971 to 1975. Since November 9, 1975, he acted as a ( Christmas ) bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Church. Since 2009 he was archbishop.
